I Just Can't Get Listed

I have submitted my listing to my website: <url removed as per this forum's ToS>
I followed the instructions for listing right down to the letter. Aware that I should only submit to only one listing area and to allow sufficient time for this to be processed, I started to try and get listed on DMOZ over 2 years ago and I waited over 7 months from initially trying.

I then decided I should try and resubmit it – after waiting around 4 months I had an email from an administrator, David Noble , to inform me that my listing had been turned down in this instance as the website didn’t have the company address listed.

Sadly, the address was listed on the website and it had been overlooked. I tried emailing David back to draw his attention to where the address was located. Unfortunately I didn’t hear anything back.
I have since resubmitted my site twice, in both cases, I have left 4-6 months – in the last few weeks I have tried listing it again (I would like this most recent submission to be used).

I would therefore very much like my listing to be reviewed again, as it conforms to the DMOZ guidelines, and I would very much appreciate having my website listed.

Are you sure you didn't mean me?

If you've subsequently re-suggested your website as asked, some volunteer will process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. There is no need to re-suggest your website and doing so could be counter-productive because a later suggestion overwrites any earlier one.

Thanks for getting back to me Jim - yes apologies I meant Jim rather than David - it was a while ago that you emailed, so hence why I didn't totally recall your name correctly. I'm amazed you were the one to reply! I was directed to this website to try and resolve any queries about DMOZ.

Having waited 4-6 months, I assumed I had been unsuccessful as it hadn't appeared - hence I tried to resubmit. It's a shame to hear that as I have resubmitted about 2 weeks ago this replaces any previous submissions - but at least this is the best listing I think I have done yet!

I'd also like to take this opportunity to highlight the superb quality of listings, which is totally down to the hard work of all the volunteers that make DMOZ possible - I regularly use it to find all sorts of things. So the effort is very much appreciated ... hence why I would very much appreciate being one of those listings!

I will therefore now sit and wait and hope that my listing won't take too long (years!) to be listed! I just hope that my semi-eagerness to get listed has jeopardised my chances.

hi. i submitted my site 2 years or more ago...?? i'm not finding an editor for it, either, and don't know who i might contact to check. it's currently under Health: Conditions and Diseases: Musculoskeletal Disorders: Back and Spine. can anyone tell me who i might contact or check on the status? i know i'm not suppose to submit it again, so haven't. thank you

Sorry, there is noone to contact to get a status fro a suggested website.
DMOZ does not provide such a service.

But you can determine youirself what the status is

1) check the DMOZ guidelines for Site Selection Criteria

2a) is your website the type of site we do not want to list -> the website is or will be rejected [end]
2b) is your website the type we want to list -> to 3
3a) is your website not listed -> the website is waiting review [end]
3b) the website is listed [end]
