You have to remember what we are doing. We're simply protecting each other from over-aggressive webmasters. And we will do whatever it takes to protect our volunteers: including calling the police!
But we AREN"T the web police. We don't do more than is necessary to protect our co-workers. If your site WERE banned, it would be because we were at the point where there was hardly anything more to try EXCEPT call the police if you tried to contact an ODP editor again. And what's the point of communicating with you, just to tell you that if we NEVER communicate with you again, it'll be a million years too soon?
If you've suggested a site three times, then the submittal policy says what to do next: STOP BUGGING THE EDITORS! If you've been banned, that is the best thing for you, it may save a conversation with your local constabulary. If you HAVEN'T been banned, that is the best thing for you, it'll avoid a higher risk of being banned.
So, what's the point of discussing the presence or absence of a ban? You KNOW what to do next, and it's the same in all circumstances.
I have already said a ban is unlikely, but if there were a ban in effect, the only way to remove it is to leave the ODP editors strictly alone, and to make the site so good that the ODP would be embarrassed NOT to list it.
Which is what we'd really like you to do anyway.
