I submitted my web site http://www.myhomeloanbanker.com for the past three months without any success. I am trying to get it listed in "Top: Business: Financial Services: Mortgages" and also in "Top: Business: Financial Services: Loans". I feel our site is organized well, looks good and offers unique content that the others dont such as the real estate moving directory. Can someone provide any assistance or suggestions.

While you are doing that reading, spend some quality time with our FAQ, which should give you some perspective on the timelines involved.

Then, if self sufficiency is your goal, read the submission guidelines and gain a good understanding of how you have violated the site submission guidelines.

There may be a test.

The website is almost certainly unlistable, as any experienced editor would have guessed after simply reading your own paean to it.

You can start practicing self-sufficiency -- happy confluence of ideals! -- by doing your own site promotion, as the ODP will almost certainly not help.

Hello

I'm really not sure why you're so upset at the content of my site. I'm just trying to get my site listed on this public forum.

True, this is a public forum, but ODP is not. It is a directory built and maintained by volunteers using guidelines for which your site would probably not meet. Nobody is upset about your content. It just does not meet the standards set by the ODP. Also, pvgool and spectregunner were only advising you of the many rules you are violating in your process: i.e. multiple submissions. Please reframe from submitting your site again. :)

Note that I was the only editor who commented on the site contents, and I did not say anything about offense. I just mentioned that the site was ineligible for listing -- and that was, of course, based on its content (or rather, its lack thereof.) That was meant to save you time, so you could go focus on finding places where people cared about that kind of site, and promoting it there. (And, of course, it was meant to rid editors of the inconvenience of repeatedly deleting yet another unacceptable submittal.) That will save you time trying to do an impossible thing, and save us the time of cleaning up the mess.

The other editors were only referring to your behavior in the forum and with the ODP public site suggestion system. If you had read the material they recommended to you, you would have known what solecisms you committed.
