I think the entire ODP reeks of elitism

We'll see how long it is before this thread is deleted.

1) When you submit a site, never expect to here back from us. If it was rejected you'll never know why, if it was approved you'll never know unless you constantly check.

2) We don't care that you have no insight into the process, we like it that way. Talking to site owners is discouraged because we are better than that.

3) If you wait for months and months for something to happen, and nothing does, well don't submit your site again. That's against the rules that you agreed to.

4) I've seen so much crap on this message board like "we're not a listing service". What a load of crap.

5) You can try to become an editor, but good effing luck. I've tried like 10 times over the past decade. You have to be perfect in every way to get let in, or maybe know someone. I don't know but it's crazy.

Someone may yet delete your pointless rant, but in the meantime may I give you some advice?
1. Only one account per person is allowed here.
2. Remember that you will very likely be found out if you make silly exaggerations.
3. Abusing volunteers is not a good way to demonstrate your willingness to join the community.
4. Submitting yet another application without disclosing your affiliations isn't very sensible either, and does not reflect well on your honesty.
5. Failing to understand the goals and purpose of the directory is one thing, but accusing us of misleading you is simply ridiculous, when all the information is available for everyone to read.

I'd say that overall, editing is not the right hobby for you.

1. It wasn't my intention to create two accounts here, I didn't know that email verification would be required.
2. Found out about? I don't know what you're talking about. I'm not hiding anything.
3. Likely true, good point.
4. * Not properly disclosing affiliations with websites that are, or have the potential of being, listed in the category. * I didn't do that..Perhaps last time but not this time.
5. Agree to disagree.

Thanks for the comments though, Makrhod. I was a bit ranty.
