If a site is multi-submitted, is it a goner?

Hi,
I have a site which used to be in ODP and then was removed about two years ago (I don't know why) - anyway, I resubmitted the site a couple of months ago, but it hasn't shown up anywhere. It is also possible another person at the company submitted it another time (perhaps two years ago - the person no longer works here, so I cannot verify it) so that would constitute a resubmission. Does that mean that my site is disqualified and will consequently never be considered for inclusion or does it simply mean that any subsequent resubmission is pointless and would be ineffective and that there's nothing further that I can do? I assume the latter as if it was the former couldn't a competitor resubmit several times my site and thereby disqualify me for no fault of my own?
Thanks

You're right. Suggesting the site again fills no function and may (or may not) prolong the time until review, but it's not an automatic disqualifier for inclusion.

No way to check submission was received?

There is no way to check submission was received, is there? Let's say there was some technical error and the submission wasn't received by ODP - there's no way for me to know that, is there?

Let's see how the proces works

1) you create a website
2) you find the one best category for your site
3) you fill in the suggest a site form
4) the suggestion is made
5) you receive a message on screen that the suggestion is received
6) some initial checks are done to see if your suggestion is appropriate
7) an editor reviews the suggestion
8) it is listed, rejected or moved to a better category (in which case steps 7 and 8 are repeated)

Did you receive the message on your screen after you suggested the site?
Yes, than it is received by DMOZ.

Step 5

Yes, I got to step 5 alright.
It's a little bit disheartening - our site <url removed> - dates back to 1998 and was on ODP for years, then was dropped for an unknown reason. It's one of the oldest ones in the business. I don't seem to be able to persuade ODP to accept it. I was just checking I've done nothing wrong in the submission process.
Well, thanks anyway for your reply.
