If a site was rejected and the editor provided a couple of hints/tips on the reasons why:

1) Can the same site be re-submitted AFTER addressing the site rejection issues?
2) If so, when can it be re-submitted?
3) Must it be re-submitted to the same sub-category?

Or is the site DOOMED never to be in DMOZ?

Would really appreciate a clarification on this matter?

Some sites are doomed (because they are just breaking some of our major rules).
Other sites may be listed after they have addressed the problem.
Main problem is most of the times : lack of unique content

There are hardly any permanent ODP decisions. But the vast majority of rejected sites show strong indications that their webmasters simply don't have the will or ability to create unique content -- and in our experience, that's not a situation that changes very often.

Can't Find the Answers in Your FAQ

Thanks 'hutcheson' and 'pvgool' for your comments BUT my primary question has still not been addressed and I can't find it in your FAQ. Perhaps, my questions were too general or ambiguous.

So I'll be very specific here.

If a site was rejected on the grounds that the Editor reckons that the site lacks credibility (because it does not have an address or at least a phone number), can it be re-submitted after the following modifications are done with the aim of addressing the credibility issue?

1. An 'About Us' page is included providing the site author's background.

2. A Contact Form is included to allow visitors from contacting** the site author.

** The site author feels that an address or phone number could be harvested by robots or spammers BUT if these are mandatory to get his site into DMOZ, the site author is willing to abide by DMOZ's policy.

Also, must the modified site be re-submitted to the same sub-category?

If a site was rejected on the grounds that the Editor reckons that the site lacks credibility

By the way, you may consider to add some credibility to your site by adding your address or at least your phone number. I usually don't use sites where I don't really know who I am communicating with.
was, I think, intended to be a personal observation, and not a comment on the sites listability.

However in a more general sense,
can it be re-submitted after the following modifications are done with the aim of addressing the credibility issue?
the answer is yes, provided you actually know which credibility issue actually resulted in the site not being listed. Within the business tree, a lack of street address should not generally be a reason to decline a site, however there are many other possible reasons http://dmoz.org/guidelines/include.html which generally come down to one of 2 things - lack of unique content, or the fact that the site exists to direct users elsewhere, sometimes by affiliate links, sometimes by being a landing page.

So can I try re-submitting?

Thanks 'gimmster' for the enlightenment.

I accept DMOZ's guidelines for acceptance/rejection...but....can I try re-submitting my rejected site that has been modified?

Site: http://www.parallelcareer.com

Just out of curiosity, why is it that the above site is ranked 9 in Google's SERP for keyword "parallel career" and ranked 1 and 2 in MSN for the same keyword?

Does it mean that Google and MSN does not take unique content into consideration? (Though I realize DMOZ editors will not comment on Google's or MSN's decisions). And with the same keyword in Google, you'll find the first 3 articles related to the above site in ranks 1 , 2 and 3.

I won't be the reviewing editor so don't blame me if the site isn't accepted. But IMHO you can resubmit your site to the same category.

I've totaly no idea how Google and MSN decide to list a site or rank it in the search results.

This site is DEEP in the territory of "webmaster evidently will NEVER build content the ODP is interested in. Please do not resubmit it, with or without changes; please do not submit any other site with "content" from the same source.
