Hello every body,
I'm working in a travel company. I have submitted this site (URL removed) since 2011 but at that time, it doesn't appear on Dmoz.
My site is listed on Yahoo Directory.
My boss says that I will be fired if this site isn't listed on Dmoz. Do you have any suggestion for me at this time, I'm so worried now. Thanks.

What a strange boss you have.
Your job depends on what other people will or will not do.
People who you nor he does have control over. And people who have never committed them to listing a website.
You and your boss might have misunderstood what DMOZ is about. We are not a listing service. By suggesting a website you provide a service to us.
Each suggested website will in time be reviewed. But that time can vary between a few days and several years.
BTW we request that you suggest a website only ONCE. From your posting I get the impression that you have made several suggestions. This might cause delays between first suggestion and time of review.

PS the forum guidelines prohibit you from inlcuding links to websites in your postings (the link will be removed by one of our admins)

I can't imagine why your boss believes that you can control a bunch of anonymous volunteers who work to their own time scales and who are not motivated to do his bidding.

Perhaps he also believes that an ODP listing will cause his website to rise to the top of the SERPS and so increase his income. This might have been true last century but we don't believe that it is today.

1. Print this thread and show it to your boss.
2. Look for a job in a company that doesn't rely upon 19th century management techniques.
