Im just curious...

When we submit a site, do you also check the english grammar, punctuation, design, fonts , graphics, no. of pages, links to other sites if they are somehow related..?? (aside from the broken links, content, sites with overlapping and repetitive content and etc..)

Because..I'd submitted my sites..2 sites already but I dont see them get listed..My 1st site is almost a year already and my 2nd site same thing happened.. Then my 3rd one..I've submitted just 3 days ago..(no questions with the 3rd one) and I am afraid same thing might happen...

But in my 2 sites. I know I've submitted in the right category and followed the guidelines but I dont know..Im just curious... :)

We aren't the grammar police. Don't obsess about the grammar. We do, but that's just our listings.

We do expect a website to be substantially functional. We do expect it to have full internal navigation implemented -- if you don't link to all your own content, obviously nobody else should! We expect you not to submit multiple related sites (hint: TWO is multiple, THREE is very multiple! And "related sites" are sites that are related to each other, for instance by all being related to you.)

I don't know what guidelines you thought you did follow (obviously not the submittal policies), but if those came from the ODP site, they WOULDN'T have said, "there will be a site review in any particular set time." So there's no reason to worry, except about the submittal policies you violated (and there is a pretty heavy penalty for that, but we avoid applying it if we can protect ourself any other way.)

Keep adding content and linking it from your main website home, and when the site is reviewed, we'd include all the related content on whichever domains.

If the spelling and grammar are so bad as to be unreadable I would be probably declining the site. If it is readable, but with many errors, I'd probably be dropping an anonymous line "as a concerned surfer" to the webmaster to get it fixed, and then checking back in a month to see if any action had been done.
