I'm listed in the Google Directory But Not in Dmoz

Hi guys.

My domain name is <url>

I am listed in the Catagorie
/Top/Shopping/Sports/WaterSports/Surfing/SurfShops/

...with Google but not in the Dmoz ODP.

Do you have any Idea Why?
Does this mean that I am going to be removed form Googles Directory? Or does it mean that I am going to be added to The Dmoz Directory?

I do not belive that I have violted any of the Direcory Guidelines. So I am in a quandary as to why I am not listed in both Directories.

Thanks for any help I can get on this one.

Sorry, no, this forum is only for ODP questions, we do not want to get into discussions of Google. They run things according to their rules, and in case you are unaware, are not part of ODP.

I suggest you find a webmaster forum, where that question is asked many times a day.

Thanks for the info. Is there any way that my submission can be expedited? I admit that my site was down for a few days. However, my site is up and running smoothly. Please assist me in this issue. I confess my neglegence for a few days while my site was down. Can you take into consideration that my site is still listed in the Google Directory?
I feel that I am put a at a competive disadvantage if i am not in the ODP.

Site sure looks alot like the Sandal Superstore one you asked about it in the other forum. The kind of stuff you are trying to pull can get you banned. I do not advise you to resubmit the site. I take back my advice and simply have to say - shame on you.

My sincere apologies. I would like to move my all of my site over to one just one of the sites but I would prefer that site to be in the Dmoz Directory. Right now I have them both up. I will gladly take one of the sites down I just would like to know which site has the best chance to be in the directory. There is certainly a strong self-serving element in my keeping both sites live, but my primary problem is that I would like one of the sites to be listed the directory.

I will take down either site immediately. Can you give me an idea as to whichone should be left for submisssion into the directory.

That is up to you coolhand. You are the one who chooses what url you are going to use for your website. We also don't care if you have 800 mirrors and/or redirects - just don't submit them to the directory.

i'm not on either at the moment and applied a few months ago for <URL>
I also applied to become an editor to try and speed things up, but asume after reading some of these forums that as my iniitial interest is somewhat self serving so this will be rejected.

Adding an attempted link drop to a 3 year old post certainly seems self serving to me.

Yeah it was a pretty dumb thing to do. Sorry.
The internet is a double edged sword. You can find info/ advice which is sometimes misguided. I have been trying to improve my listing for my photography website and have realised that there is a big difference between setting up keywords and putting your url in a forum.
The morning after I did this, I found that my listing no longer appears on Google. Did you guy's have anything to do with my listing no longer apearing on Google?
