You'll notice (when you go to post if not before) that we've upgraded the forum's software from 3.0.x to 3.5.3.

The upgrade seems to have gone well but if you notice any problems, post them here in this thread and we'll check 'em out later on this weekend.

Since there is a lot of new Javascript stuff in the software, you might try to check your settings for the security block (however that's called in Firefox).

(Or upgrade to a newer version )

I don't know if it is related, but I can not access the editor-only forums

I keep on getting "permission denied" when trying to login to http://forums.dmoz.org/forum/

It appears you're not listed as an editor in these forums. There's a thread in the internal forums for this, or you can request upgrades in the [thread=30357]Member to Editor[/thread] thread.
