Impossible to get listed

Hi all,

I have been attempting to get my Spanish language school in Dmoz for 1 year now,
/Reference/Education/International/Language_Schools/Spanish/

I've read and followed all rules, suggestions, follow the same line of description of my competitors, but still no go.
One of my competitor appears in the same category 2 times!! (one of them, it is a mirror website) and the same competitor appear in Dmoz more than 10 time in different categories directed to the same URL. That´s normal?

I raised an abuse report 2 times and send emails to everybody. None of them able to give me the ID check status on the bottom of the page (I guess DMOZ has a lot of report abuse to attend) however, it is doesn´t work.

I feel more than frustrated and really don´t know what to do. I wonder how google use DMOZ directory with this kind of unfair system Dmoz has?.

Please, can anyone help me?

You might have misunderstood our objectives and how we operate here. ODP is a volunteer organisation building a directory as a hobby. Editors edit where they wish, when they wish and as much as they wish within the constraints of their permissions. We have no schedules or systems to force people to do work that they don't volunteer to do. ODP is not primarily a free listing service for website owners and it does not attempt to process their listing suggestions within the time scales desired by them.

Some volunteer will process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. There is no need to re-suggest your website and doing so could be counter-productive because a later suggestion overwrites any earlier one.

The abuse report system, also handled by volunteer meta editors, is currently dysfunctional. However, as the abuse report form says, failure to list a website is not abusive.

You need do nothing at all. If your website is going to be listed, it'll happen when it happens. No action of yours can expedite that.

Just to add that for the mirror site, you can report it directly in Quality Control thread here and someone will take care of it.
