Independent Musicians, Bands, Music Question

The Internet Archive is a repository that encourages Creative Commons licensing. Have the editors at Open Directory considered offering a category for Independent Musicians, bands, that either use CC-licensing or are pursuing their professional track independent of the traditional record label controls? I would like to discuss this, if there's interest. There's definitely a need, in my opinion, to have a centralized location where folks can identify such music, and feel comfortable in knowing that it is a pretty comprehensive collection of what is available.

More than just musicians use CC licensing. I would say that how a band releases their music is not as important as the fact that they are musicians. I would therefore expect that bands and musicians would continue to just be listed the way they are (which is usually by style, name, and/or geographic location).

I thought there was a Wiki specifically dedicated to CC-licensed material ....
