Dear Sir,
It is very nice to see that the open projects like dmoz get established and doing a great job. But at the same time i feel that in some category the personal(business) interests rules over openness. In
Top: Regional: Asia: India: Kerala: Business and Economy: Real Estate

I have submitted a site long back (probebly 2 years back), and again submitted after some time. Kerala has a big property boom in recent years and that made so many real estate website got established. There are some established online "Kerala real estate" websites available in kerala, but still the category is not adding any of these websites. Can you please look into the issue, and correct it-if the claim is genuine.

ODP is a volunteer organisation and editors edit where they wish, when they wish and as much as they wish within the constraints of their permissions. We have no system to force people to do work that they don't volunteer to do. ODP is not a free listing service for website owners and it does not attempt to process their listing suggestions within the time scales desired by them.

Some volunteer will volunteer to process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. Please be patient.

If you've only suggested your website twice, there isn't a problem and there's no need to suggest it again.

If you've suggested it a lot more than that, you've risked being treated as a spammer.

Yes editors get their site listed only.
If you want to get in you need to be an editor.

That is an incorrect statement. Can you provide some kind of evidence for that?

That's why some editors have added literally thousands of sites, huh? They either own or act as Webmaster for them all.

No i never mean so

I will never say it as a common with dmoz. But of course i believe that there are. There are editors who added just one, purely because of there individual interests.Or else these categories must have more entries - since the activated entry is not the "only" eligible from those submitted. I have submitted different websites they have better PR's and daily usages than the listed.

I'm not sure how you've come up with that generalization. The fact that only a few sites might be listed in any given category tells you nothing at all about the ulterior motives of the editors who reviewed those sites.

And editors don't care about PR or daily usages.
