Is it acceptable to email editors?

Hello,
I had a site that was accidentally denied because of a possible mirror. That has since been fixed and I resubmitted a couple weeks ago.

Is it acceptable to email the 2 editors for my category and ask them if they need further info to make their decision so that I can prevent any further roadblocks? I read up on the issue and learned that one can expect them not to respond...but are there any problems with emailing the editors?

No problem at all, but they won't necessarily answer -- although it's always an ad-hoc decision (and there is no prohibition), editors are warned that a dialogue with submitters may sometimes go sour, so many are wary of that.

This forum was actually set up partly as a means to solve that problem. I see you have already posted in the Site Submission Status forum.
