Just wondering if it’s true that you can get a Meta to look at a site before its submitted or to point out changes that need to be made to a site before it will be accepted?
Yes, I am trying to get a site listed. I’ve read the guidelines many times but can’t find the rules that my site violates. I just need a little help. Maybe I can be referred to a person or company that does this.

IF your site is Guidelines-compliant it could be accepted. Why are you so sure that your site violates some rules ?

You can get any editor to look at a site. Post the URL. Just notice that the suggestions posted won't speed up the acceptance of your current/future submission.

Are we talking about the site you asked about in this thread? This is why we like to keep posts about a single site in a single thread. Otherwise, we lose track of what's been said.

As was stated in the original thread, several editors have looked at the site and all agree that, in anything at all close to its present form, it's not something we're going to list.

I can't think of anything you could do that would simultaneously meet both your goals and ours. I suggest you pursue other avenues of promotion.

I’m not 100% sure it violates the guidelines. I think it might be possible that my site was rejected because I submitted it too many times. This was my newbie mistake, I did not correctly read the guidelines at the time, and I was also a little too excited.
My site is also a commercial site by definition, and it looks like ODP might not look very highly on these types of sites based on reviews of other posts. I’m sure these are people that were rejected for listing in the ODP and are just mad.
I think you wanted me to post the URL, if I’m not supposed to do this and the post is deleted, I will understand. I do use PPC for the site. This also tracks when I get a hit to the exact word. I think this might be the violation of the Rules, but I am not sure.

I did already submit it and get rejected, but I submitted many times (like 10) which possibly killed my chances of ever getting listed. Big mistake.

I didn't know that was the reason for rejection. I thought it was because I submitted too many time. Thanks for the answer. I will persue other things like you said.
