Is someone editing my catagory

I was hoping someone can enlighten me on this.

When it says at the bottom of the page "Volunteer to edit this category.". does it mean there is currently no one doing the editing? There are 15 listings under that particular category.

There was a Editor there before and now if there is no editor your submission will wait..

Thanks guys! Now I'm wondering if I should try summiting to another category that my website will fit into, but with an editor instead of waiting for someone to volunteer for the category I had submitted to. Will I be considered a spammer? I wonder...

If you deliberately suggest your website to what you think is the wrong category, an editor there or passing through should just send it back to where it belongs.

That incurs extra effort by all parties, causes delays and is pretty pointless.

No, I don't mean do purposely submit my site to the wrong category; I wouldn't do that. What I do mean is to submit my site to another category that is also appropriate. I have noticed through my research that many websites are cataloged under 2 or 3 similar categories. I am just assuming that it is allowed…am I wrong? Please enlighten.

Editors have the right to list a site in more than one category, but it some notable exceptions* it is the editor perogative to do so and site owners should not suggested their sites to more than one category.


*The exceptions include: You may suggest your site to one regional category in addition to the single topical category. The regional suggestion is based upon the physical location, not upon sales area or market influence. If your site is human translated into more than one language, you may suggest the site to the appropraite World/ category based upon that translation. If you submit a machine-translated site we will unleash a swarm of locusts upon you. There are other exceptions, but knowing those two covers the majority of them.
