is the editor your competitor?

I have the same problem as many many people: I submitted my site a few times this past year and have not been listed. I know I'm not doing the submission wrong.
I read many times that the editor might decide not to list you just because he/she sees you as a competitor. I'm sure now that this is the case for me. So if you would be so kind as to offer some assistance in this regard, I would greatly appreciate it.

You are doing something wrong. The same problem as many many people have. They do not read the guidelines. We clearly ask you to suggest a website only ONCE.
Suggesting a website more than once might result in a longer time between (first) suggestion and review of the website.

Please don't believe those rumours. Editors do not reject websites because of such reasons.
Please read the FAQ (link at the top of this page) for the real reasons why it might take some time (upto several years) before a suggested website is reveiwed.
