It is next to impossible to get a site approved or even reviewed in some of the norwegian categories. And i have not seen a norwegian editor at this foruim, since July, 2005, what is going on ?

1. Participation in this forum is voluntary. This is not the "official" ODP forum where editors communicate with each other, we do have an internal forum for that purpose. In fact, most of our editors are not seen here. So it doesn't surprise me that there hasn't been a norwegian editor in here for some time. If you have questions that don't need someone speaking norwegian, it may be better to ask in english.

2. Like in many other languages that are not so common in the internet, there are less norwegian editors than in other parts of the directory. If you check the growth from March 2005 to now you see that the number of listed entries increased by about 3% (remember that a lot of sites are removed by our link checkers in the same time, so the amount of added sites is a lot higher), so there are some editors working in that area. Anyway, if you think the norwegian section needs more attention, why not apply as an editor in a nice small starting category of your choice and change things?

Many smaller languages are short of editors. Indeed, so is English, Français and Deutsch, as well as the really obscure languages in Test: World (I submitted a site to Test: World: Tetum a few years ago, and nobody has touched it yet). If you speak any language in which you can also write grammatical sentences, consider applying for a category to improve things.

Good luck then.

(I'm not an editor, so can't help or approve your application. But I can wish you good luck.)

Which means that, if (or when -- do try again) you are accepted, you are joining a select club of the elite: an editor in World: Norsk, no less. You mother should be proud. ;)

Just to make it 100% clear - World/Norsk is not abandoned at all. However, since we are so few editors I spend my time editing in stead of reading these forums - sorry. However, I do monitor the thread for World/Norsk, as you have discovered mikkemus, so things aren't that bad.
