I have been waiting over a year to post me site here. Did I do something wrong. Was there a fee for this service. I am willing to pay to have my site listed.

Nope. DMOZ is totaly free.
Very probably the site hasn't been reviewed yet.

Sites that are under construction are not listable and should not be submitted.

(also, please start a new thread for questions, posting on someone else's thread is confusing)

Actually, he did both: a new thread and hijacking this one. I deleted the new one because his question was answered here rather than there. I probably should have split this one instead. I'll do that now.
