Is there a way to know if the site was submitted?

Hello,

I recently attempted to submit my site to the Open Directory Project; however I am unsure if it was submitted when I pushed the "submit" button.

When I pushed this button, I came to a page that said :

"Please verify the text in the image. The text in the image and the text you submit in the input field must match.

Can't read this text?

Can't see this image?"

as well as something to the effect of "if you need to resubmit your site, use your browsers back button".

Is this normal? If I saw this, was my site not properly submitted?

Thank you for your help.

Sincerely,

Mike Thacker

If you saw that, no, your site suggestion didn't go through. It can't go through until you enter the captcha text correctly. You'll know if your suggestion went through because you'd see a "thank you" page.

Thank you for your help. I made a third attempt after seeing your post and I got the thank you page. I simply didn't want to get discarded for posting my site multiple times.

Thanks again for your help!

wowwowking, there are two possible reasons for this:

(1) when the site was reviewed, the editor didn't find significant unique information, and decided it was better for our surfers not to list it.

(2) the site may not have been reviewed yet: perhaps it contains significant information, but is hidden in a pool of spam suggestions (which the editor will have to review in random order until he stumbles over your suggestion.
