Is this a good sign?

I agree I only applied a week ago or so, but being it is such a small category and i doubt it receives spam, I thought maybe I would inquire. After reading the other posts it seems if it takes awhile when its a big cat and receives alot of spam but dont think this is the case with this cat. I just wanted to check on it if anyone gets a chance as I have not received any word yet. The section is
Shopping: Consumer Electronics: Communications: Wireless: Cellular Phones: Accessories: W

If anyone can take a look if they have a free minute.

Since you are afilliated with http://www.thewirelessboysonline.com a 'W' site, then I hope that you made this very clear in your application.

Personally, I would have applied for another category in the industry (not a retailers one, and certainly not the one that includes your own site), or some subject you are interested in but which you don't have any commercial reasons for editing. It goes without saying that you need to be very careful with any editing that you do for your own or your competitors sites, as there are many people watching all of the time.

By the way, ALL shopping categories receive spam, often in very large doses.

Thats cool.. I actually am editing for the "other directories" and cover the entire section of cell phones, not just a branch of it, of course my site is in their once, along with my competitors.. Not looking to pull and quick moves or anything.. but I appreciate the words of wisdom.. I play pretty fair though.. not into spam, or any of that other stuff... <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />
