Over a year ago, I submitted my site which is a non-profit consumer site<url removed> in, ( Home: Consumer Information: Advocacy and Protection ) It come to my attention later that the editor, <editor name removed> may be gone as her links on her about editor page had changed to what they once were. I attempted to contact her through the dmoz email and noticed that the email isn't working. I tried several other things at dmoz but noticed that they wasn't working either.

There are several sites similar to ours listed, however, ours have several features that no other site on the internet has. We hope that we have done everything right..

Thanks for your time and help,
John

Please don't hijack other people's threads.
Please don't mention specific urls.
Please don't discuss individual editors here.

If you've already suggested your website to an appropriate category, you've already done all that you need to do.

Nagging a particular editor in an attempt to expedite your listing suggestion is unlikely to achieve the results you desire.

Some volunteer will volunteer to process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. Please be patient.

I owe you an apology...

I had read somewhere a while back that it is ok to contact the editor and ask if there was a problem with a submission. I was going to email the editor in a good faith effort to try and make sure everything was alright with the submission. I had seen other similar sites, with less features, getting listed but couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. I am deeply sorry I troubled you with my question. I wasn't trying to harm anyone. I just want to do the right thing to get my site listed. :( It means alot to me and to us.

Over 200 editors can edit in your category of interest. It's fine to contact a named editor but don't expect a reply or processing priority.

To tell you if your listing suggestion has a problem, somebody would have to evaluate it - which would be giving it priority.
