Our site is a fairly large e-commerce site that sells printer supplies. We suggested our site a few months ago and have not been listed. We verified that we were in the correct category, actually there were 50 or more of our competitors in that category. We understand that there is no guarantee we will get listed, but would like to do what we can to make that happen. Any input or feedback is appreciated. Thanks...

Since the directory isn't about promoting websites, and there are no mechanisms for promoting a website in the directory, asking what you can do to promote the website sort of misses the point.

Is there anything you can do to help build the directory? Suggesting one site is a (little bit of) help. Being hopeful really doesn't help one way or another. But is there anything else?

If there is, then we'd like to have a mechanism for THAT.

Otherwise, there's nothing.

Why o why do people not read the FAQ
Why o why do people not use the search
Why o why do people keep asking the same question over and over
Do people realy think that the answers we have given in the past do not apply for their situation

To introduce a touch of realism:

- We build useful categories here rather than act as a free listing service for website owners.
- We have hundreds of websites listed in that category. The poor surfer is already spoiled for choice.
- If I'm going to apply my efforts to category building, I'll devote them to categories that need building up, not to those that, whilst not perfect, are already 'good enough'. That seems to me to be the more constructive thing to do :).
