Just a Quick Thought

I have applied for editor status and while waiting for a response I have been reading the forums here. I have to say what I have found is rather flamey. I mean I understand the position of those trying to become editors and submitting sites and getting rejected or not being happy with the wait time but let’s face the facts here. ODP is a free project that is 100% supported by volunteers who want to make one of the most complete search engines with the highest quality websites. They want to reduce spam sites, and make it easier for people to find what it is they are looking for. This type of project requires tons of time and effort on the editor’s part. Time they give for free. Is the system perfect, no. Is life perfect, no. Is ODP promising to be perfect, no. They are promising to do their best to make the internet easier to use for everyone. ODP is a great thing, and I hope I will get a chance to contribute to it, and for those who are trying to get listed or become editors, remember the goals of this site. If you get rejected, make changes so that next time you won't be. Oh and don't flame. It is really just a waste of time that will not help your point.
