Hi,

I have been preparing to submit to dmoz for a few days now, and I think it is botched because it looks like google has site indexed that I didn't do (or something like that). It is in fact not a mirror, and I dont know what it is, or how to remove it from google indexing. A friend pointed it out to me no more than 10 minutes ago.

The site submitted was http://www.thecedarstation.com

and the error site (or whatever it is) is http://www.thecedarstation.com/12345

I think another one is http://www.thecedarstation.com/thecedarstation/
I dont know what these are, and don't know how they got to where they are.

My buddy said it doesnt look good, but doesnt know what it is either.

Please help.

Ignore anything you find in Google, it has nothing to do with getting your site listed in ODP. Google does copy information from ODP from time to time, but we have no control of that.

The links you listed do exist in your web site, and Google knows about them for one reason or another, so there is nothing wrong with Google. [Google questions are a bit off topic for this forum however]

Unless your friend is an expert on web site promotion, and search engines, I would suggest you try joining one of the forums in http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Chats_and_Forums/

and asking questions there about web site design and promotion, not specific to ODP.

Is this going to effect my entry in odp? What are these things?

Whatever these are, I didnt create them, and just ousted an seo from handling my site.

Please stop spamming this forum by posting the same question everywhere. Another one and you'll find yourself banned.

Since your question is about GOOGLE, and we are not GOOGLE, the question will not get answered on this forum, beyond what has already been said, no. You either need to rephrase the question so it is about the ODP, or ask on a Google forum somewhere.

Cheers.

Presumably the SEO you just ousted is responsible for them as someone with access to your site created them.

I think I may have made a bigger deal out of this than necessary. I apologize.

I submitted to odp, and in 36 hrs. I was entered.

Those pages are created by yahoo stores on every hosting account. It has something to do with a 404 error page. I think it redirects you to your homepage if somewhere else in my iste has an error. Its actually kinda nice to have for a website, that way visitors never see a 404 error page.

Anyway, Alucard, Bobrat, and the rest, thanks for answering my questions and putting up with my babble.

Cheers

Yes. I guess so.

Im really not sure what it all means, but its not a negative thing, so honestly I'm not that worried. I have multiple contacts into yahoo to explain the whole concept, but no returns yet.

Guess I'll just wait to see what happens.
