Lawyer site - used to have site thru findlaw.com

I recently created a website for a lawyer to replace his site created thru findlaw.com. The url for his old site was http://salsbury.lawoffice.com.

The old Site "title" (Law Offices of David Salsbury) is still listed in the Open Directory.

I want to list his new site (www.davidsalsburyattorney.com)
in the directory but i have been having trouble getting it acccepted. Orginally, it took findlaw a few months to actually take his site down. And since he had stopped service, I could not add a 301 redirect to the old site.

Now, his old site is gone but the entry in the OPen directory titled "Law Offices of David Salsbury" points to findlaw.com.

I decided to re-submit his site today but my fear is that the editor will see the entry for "Law Offices of David Salsbury" and think his site already exists.

Any suggestions on how I should get his new site listed?

Re: Lawyer site - used to have site thru findlaw.c

I think lkbackus already checked the URL update out, at least there was one waiting. Since the existing listing pointed to a non-relevant URL and therefore was a quality issue (misleading our users) I just went there and updated the URL.

Thanks for responding. I went and checked the entry in DMOZ for "Law Offices of David Salsbury" and it still points to findlaw.com

As senox said, the change has been made. Eventually, the public-side servers will catch up.

As noted in many other threads, there is a lag between the editor side of the ODP and the several public servers. This lag can be up to several days, and the servers don't all necessarily update each page at the same time. When I checked the public page just now, I got the new URL -- if I check it again, I might get the old one. Soon (about 3 or 4 days at most) the new URL will definitely show up every time.

Either what lachenm said, or make sure you don't see a cached version of the page.
