listing and editors

Hi

As probably a lot of publishers know, to get listed in dmoz virtually takes ages.
So I had to submit a small site in a small category and after 3months or so it didn't get listed.
So I thought why not become an editor myself eh?
And the responce:
They have enough editors for this category.

Oh that is wonderfull.

It would seem that you probably did not read the entire notice that you were sent.

Ah, part of your confusion (and possibly one of the reasons for your rejection) is that you misapprehended the purpose of the ODP.

It's not a site LISTING service: it's a site FINDING resource. That is an easy (although regrettable) mistake: if you're a promoter and not an active surfer, you see only the other side of the phase boundary. But there's a universe of difference.

If you're expecting a listing service, there are zillions of people that offer that. If you want to help promote websites, there are many options for that also.

But the ODP won't really help with either.
