I wanted to know how to get your website listed on the googledirectory? I have submitted my information but it's never came up under the category I submitted it under?

There is no direct way to "get a listing" in the Google Directory.

Google takes its data from the Open Directory Project, which is a directory run by volunteers. Google is one of many sites which use the data.

Sites are added to the Open Directory by editors. There are many ways to bring a site to the editors' attentions - and the one you are familiar with is the "Suggest a Site" link.

However, this does not give any sort of priority review.

So it sounds like you have done all you can - there is no priority review process available, nor are there plans to provide one.

Patience would be my recommendation :)

To become listed in the G-directory you first need to get listed in the DMOZ directory. Luckely for you we are DMOZ (or at least we are editors of DMOZ).
To get listed in DMOZ directory there is only one thing you can do: suggest the site. Someday (but we can not predict when this will be, could be in a few minutes could be after 2 or 3 years) an editor will review your suggestion and decide if we will list it or not.
I think the FAQ may answer more of your questions.
