One of our retailers [URL Removed] has been listed on DMOZ for years. How do we [URL Removed] get listed to DMOZ now?

Thanks!

Visit the category where you believe your website should be listed and use the suggest URL link at the top of the page. Some volunteer will process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. There is no need to re-suggest your website and doing so could be counter-productive because a later suggestion overwrites any earlier one.

Ahhhh, wonderful. :)
In these times of unexpected (and often unpleasant) change, it is immensely reassuring to return to this forum and see jimnoble's calm explanation bobbing to the surface of the whirlpool. Onya Jim. :aussie:

Hehe! You might have read that para a few (well a lot of) times before. Sadly, few others seem to have done so I just keep plugging away.

(I use the superb Clippings extension for Firefox so it's only a couple of clicks to insert boilerplate)

If you're backlogged YEARS why don't you take on more editors? People apply like crazy and you reject them out of hand. This is absurd.

Firstly you are assuming that it is a backlog. Suggested sites are only one of the many sources of new listings that an editor can use. An editor can choose to look in the pool of suggested sites in a category and they could choose not to. There are no rules for the volunteer editors to have to go by and they can choose to edit how and where they wish according to their permissions.

That would be absurd you are quite right. That is why we don't do it. Applicants who have filled in the form correctly are accepted on a daily basis so your assumption that they aren't is in itself a bit absurd. ;)
