Little categories & Editors

Hello,

I don't want to ask a personnal question but a general one (sorry for my english!) : I would like to know how are organized (and controled) "little" categories without editor or with one editor?

I ask this question because my website has disapear from the request where I am during 3 or 4 years and... There is only one reply (one website) on this request!!! I have re-suggest my website and... a long time have passed (6 month?) and it's always the same reply. I know that there is several quality websites which can be added, not only mine! But nothing...

I have hesitate to become Editor of this category but I'm not doing that because i'm also sellers and I think it's not correct, I can't be objective... but someone else can do this no?

PS : name(s) of editor(s) are public informations?

Over 200 editors can work in any category that they wish .

If you're interested in becoming an editor, by all means apply. Many of us own websites and still manage to edit fairly .

I would also be interested to know how the editors system is organized.
As to Sinai & Sharm el Sheikh no editors are mentioned. Does that mean there are no editors???

No, it does not.
Every editor mentioned on a higher category can work in a category.
In your example
Regional/Africa/Egypt/Governorates/Sinai_South/Sharm_al_Sheikh/
higher categories means
Regional/Africa/Egypt/Governorates/Sinai_South/
Regional/Africa/Egypt/Governorates/
Regional/Africa/Egypt/
Regional/Africa/
Regional/
Also there are editors with global rights, they can edit everywhere in DMOZ.
But remember the fact that they can does not mean that they will work in a category.

To answer the other questions, having an interest in a website/company listed in a category is not a problem as long as you don't show any favoritism - The editor nicknames are public and permanent, if you choose one based on your real name, anonymity is out
Otherwise, real names and locations are public or not by the individual editors choice.
