newszoom.com/weather/ - http://dmoz.org/News/Weather/ - Reviewed and declined on two occasions.
lyricskid.com - http://dmoz.org/Arts/Music/Lyrics/ - Reviewed and declined. Site http://elyrics.net/ is listed already in this category.
movie-pages.com - http://dmoz.org/Arts/Movies/News_and_Media/ - Received and awaiting editorial review.
movie-pages.com/reviews/ - http://dmoz.org/Arts/Movies/Reviews/ - Received and awaiting editorial review
movie-pages.com/trailers/ - http://dmoz.org/Arts/Movies/News_and_Media/Previews/Trailers/ - Reviewed and declined
movie-pages.com/soundtrack/ - http://dmoz.org/Arts/Movies/Soundtracks/ - Reviewed and rejected since URL gave a DNS error when the editor tried to review it
wiredseek.com / - http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Entertainment/ - Reviewed and declined on two occasions

In all cases except where I have expressly noted, the sites were declined because they do not fall within the type of sites that we list, according to our publicly-available guidelines.

Thanks for your interest in the project.

i could not understand why lyricskid.com is rejected, "elyrics.net listed", so what? This is a different site than elyrics.net, of course the content may be similar, so all lyircs sites have the same content!
Also ;
why ?

movie-pages.com/trailers/ rejected ? It provides trailers, that is what the category suggest to its visitors.

If you can provide me some points, i can correct them and re-submit.
Please help me.

thanks and regards

One other point which is kinda key to how the ODP operates.

If, as you assert, "all lyrics sites have the same content" then we really only need to list one of them to give our customers, the surfers, the information they need, right? Adding multiple copies to essentially the same information (maybe packaged differently but still the same information) doesn't provide any extra information to the users of the directory.

So what we look for are sites that have different information on them. That is one of the criteria we use in our mantra of "unique content".

Suppose you had put all the lyrics on one site, with coherent, integrated navigation. That site would (obviously, DUH!) be more valuable to all surfers. And therefore more worthy of an ODP listing than the two sites.

But you didn't. You broke it into two sites. It wasn't for the surfer you did that. It was to get more ODP listings.

You hurt the surfer, then you come to us to be rewarded?

We ARE the surfers.

broke it into 2 sites???
Did you really reviewed the sites?
Most of the songs are the same, not broke into two. I tried to build a no-pop, fast loading site that has only lyrics in it, this brought lyricskid.com online.
Tell me, did you ever see a lyircs site, loading that fast and has no popups on it?
I am covering my costs with elyrics.net and thought that it would be a good idea to create a "light" "nopop" site to better serve visitors. Is this wrong?
Don't get me wrong, i am not discussing my inclusion to the directory, just trying to correct some points.

thanks for your support :)

Designing a better site, one can understand. What is difficult (well, impossible) to justify is submitting two related sites to the ODP.

And none of the lyrics sites I visit regularly, or that I contribute to, have popups.
