Might have made a mistake by double submitting

Hello everyone, I am just wondering, the other day I swore I saw a post about submitting a site. The message read that you were supposed to get a verification email that you had to click a link after submitting. If you didn't get the e-mail, the site would not be in the database.

In any event, I didn't get the notice after a week or so, so I decided to submit again in the event the email was blocked by my ISP.

However, today I cannot find this post on the boards which leads me to think, I am either a) messed up b) saw ti somewhere else and thought it was for here or c) It was here but was incorrect information and was removed from the Boards.

If anyone can shed some light on this for me it would be terrific. I spent a good hour looking and fear that I might be penalized for a double submission when I thought I was doing the right thing.

The domain is; www.albertagame.com

Thanks everyone.

You are confused.
The situation you describe is what happens when you apply to become an editor.
Suggestions for sites will only get the confirmation on screen. No emails are send. Not when the suggestion is received, not when it is reviewed, not when it is listed and not when it is rejected.

Don't worry, your second suggestion won't do you any harm.

Note, today I re-submitted the site, and only got the page message;

Submission Received

Your site submission has been received.

An editor will review your submission for inclusion in the directory.

Once your site has been accepted into the Open Directory, it may take anywhere from 2 weeks

to several months for your site to be listed on partner sites which use the Open Directory

data, such as AOL Search, AltaVista, HotBot, Google, Lycos, Netscape Search, etc. We make

updates of the data available weekly, but each partner has their own update schedule.

No confirmation e-mail came again today and this is what prompted me to go looking for the message as I wanted to post to it letting whomever know that I was not getting them. After reading today, it looks like the page I got was the only confirmation you get, which is why I posted this thread to make my intentions known.

Sincerely,

Chris

Aha! I knew I read it somewhere and you are 110% correct, I was reading the information on how to apply for an editor roll.

At least I know I am not crazy, thanks for the information pvgool!
