Move category & change domain - delete existing entry first ?

Hi
Is there any way to communicate with category editors please ?

The update category details form doesn't have much room on it......

We would like to delete our entry in the general category & replace it with a UK specific (for a co.uk domain). Naturally worried in case we lose the original entry before the other one is (hopefully) up & running.

I tried to submit the UK entry a 4/5 months ago, but nothing has appeared.

Would your advice be to continue to sit tight & wait to see what happens, or go ahead & delete the 'general entry' & risk upsetting the editor by re-submitting to the UK category ?

Any help would be much appreciated

Many thanks

Debbie F

Delete showerail.com domain : http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Home_and_Garden/Bathroom/Curtains/

Let me try this again. For some reason I missed your links. First, never submit a site that is not up and running. A site cannot be reviewed if it is not there. And this just makes more work for the volunteers. Second, when it is up and running submitting it to the Regional category will not affect the one in Shopping. You are allowed one Topical and One Regional listing if the site meets the requirements for each. It is not necessary to delete the existing site at all unless you take it down. When you do submit to the Regional category make sure you read the guidelines in the category and the parent categories before you submit. Most Regional listings are based on where you are actually located not where you market. So make sure you are submitting to the right category.

Hello Dogbows -

We do have a website already up & running on the UK domain. Sorry for any confusion - meant 'when the uk ODP entry' is up & running.

Guess I will sit tight & wait for the UK submission to get up there. Do appreciate that volunteers have their plates full, so will give it another couple of months

Thanks for your help & v speedy reply - well impressed with the forum.

Debbie
