moved thread

Hi,

I posted a thread earlier today entitled 'DMOZ checker and notifier tool'.
Since I posted it it has been moved. To where I do not know.
I'm guessing that its been moved to the trash can

Perhaps a moderator can tell me why?

I posted info on a very useful tool for users of DMOZ so I am not sure why it was possibly deleted...

With regard to the tool you have mentioned - and also from your point of view - it may be difficult to understand, why your posting had to be removed. But we do not allow such advertising in the RZ forums/postings and therefore it has been moved to a forum to which only moderators have access. Nevertheless you're free to update your profile.

Crazy stuff.
So its not allowed to suggest a FREE tool which is no doubt extremely useful to members of this forum...
This isn't 'advertising' its informing. Theres no money made from the site and not even any adverts on it, its just a very useful tool.

You may suggest the site to the appropriate DMOZ category (as soon as servers are back).
It is sometimes difficult for moderators, too, to decide whether a posting is still beyond the pales or not (regarding posting guidelines).
And, please don't let us discuss the difference between 'informing' and 'advertising'. This might be a never-ending story...
