Dear Editors:

I would like to ask what to do with ––how to submit–– multi-lingual sites. It seemed logical to me to submit it in the three different languages since I imagined that most editors edit in only language. I'm a bit worried, however, that that may be considered as spam.

Thank you very much for your attention.

No, you are right: a site that exists in more than one language can be listed in each language, and we are grateful if you help us by suggesting each language version to the most relevant category in that language. It won't be seen as spam.

A couple of things: To be listable in a language, the site must be useful for somebody who only understands that language. That does not mean that it has to be completely translated: a site in German about a hotel with a summary of the most important information in English can be listable in an English-language category. But if, for instance, the site is in German, Spanish and English but the menu is only in English, the site won't be listable. Another, related, point is that machine-translated sites are not listed, because they are not useful to a person who understands only that language. Amusing, yes, but not useful. ;)

Dear nea and gimmster,

Thank you very much for your prompt replies. After reading your additional comments, nea, it seems that my site is suitable for listing in various languages, though I may have made an unwitting mistake in the correct categories...

All the best.
