Hello,
I hope you may be able to help.
I have a website which has been professionally translated by (paid-for) translators in its entirety from the English original into the following languages
1/French
2/German
3/Spanish
4/Dutch
5/Japanese
Having read the DMOZ guidelines,I am clear on the point that I will (aim to) submit the url to each of the world catagory editors for the given language. (No problem there,I hope)
However,it is another, related issue which concerns me.
On my homepage,I have a selection of flags indicating languages and clicking on any of the 5 above leads you through to the site in that language.
However,I also have a following 4 flags displayed on the homepage (in the below languages) which,when you click on them,give you a shorter precis of the site,our services as well as a 'dummies-guide' (approx. 2 A4 typed sheets worth of info )
Again,this has all been done by professional translators.
* swedish
* danish
* finnish
* polish
* portuguese
My question to you is this - can these precis (pl?) be considered as valid 'content' in their given language or is the fact that they are not 'mirror translations' of the original english site in its entirety mean that I am not able to put my site forward to the editor looking after the catagory in that language?
thanks ,
LucieF
