Multiple links submissions

I submitted my site to DMOZ in December 2006 and not have been indexed yet.
I thought as alternative to speed up my indexing, to submit several deeper pages in the appropriate directories, like tools, etc.

Will I violate the guidelines doing so?

If yes, I found a very famous SEO company who has already 4 links indexed. Why can they do that? Because they are so popular?

What would you advise me?

A great number of years ago, I was in Reno playing craps -- making modest bets. I got a hot set of dice and began to make numbers -- and some profits. At one point I noticed that another player was raking in huge amounts of money on my every roll, and commented on it.

The pit boss gave me some great advice (paraphrased): worry about your bets and your money and your numbers -- what someone else is winning is irrelevant to you and your game.

It was great advice then and it is great advice now.
