Multiple Submissions

I have resubmitted a site (www.eastsussexconcertband.org.uk) to the directory, and I am wondering if this is going to cause a problem. The reason I have submitted again is that when I last did this (a week or so ago) I didn't realised that the ODP will not accept sites that redirect to another location. I therefore changed from a redirected to a hosting account and thought that I had better apply for a listing again, on the assumption that the previous submission will be rejected. However, I understand that multiple submissions are frowned upon. Will I be penalised for this?

URL redirection per se is not a problem. If within the same domain the base URL gets listed, if across domains the ultimate "landing URL" gets listed. That said, you will probably have more success with your site if it does not redirect as the search engines generally aren't fond of them either, and hosted sites look more professional to a visitor as well.

Best to use the update link at the top of the category pages for this sort of thing, however 2 submissions do not a spammer make, so this shouldn't be any problem.
