I have found out today our site has been submitted at least three times in the last few months by a member of staff trying to be “helpful”. I am now worried that the site has either been deleted or flagged for multiple submissions, is there anything I can do to remove the submissions?

No, but please don't be concerned, those 3 site suggestions won't harm you, thanks for staying on top of the situation, :).

As crowbar stated, 3 or 4 re-suggestions doesn't make one a spammer. You would have to work a little harder to accomplish that. :D

That being said I strongly urge you to stop further resuggestions, as its best not to test the limits. ;)

Thanks for the replies.

I have made sure everyone understands not to submit our site to anything without asking in future. One thing, if you resubmit does it over right the previous, the reason I ask is will the description I originally wrote be overwritten by one that someone else has done.

I am really sorry to bother you guys again with this but after further investigation it appears the site has been submitted quite a lot more than 3 times (it won’t happen again because I have blocked access to the submission page to everyone except myself). Should I just hope it hasn’t been excluded or is there a way for me to add a note to my submission explaining the situation?

No there isn't.

Different editors will come across the individual listing suggestions in their different categories and will have to process them independently (with knowledge of any earlier processing). They'll be able to work out what happened for themselves.

A waste of scarce volunteer effort but there it is.
