Multiple websites under a single domain

Figment is a hosting provider which currently has only a single user site listed in dmoz under http://dmoz.org/Recreation/Pets/Rodents/Chinchillas/ for http://www.figment.ca/Chins

Does that site preclude the listing for our corporate site at http://www.figment.ca?

We recently moved the Chins site to http://myweb.figment.ca/Chins and asked for an update to the listing just to avoid confusion.

Is there an issue regarding multiple user websites under a single domain? We've had problems getting our main site listed and would like to fix any issues in listing both our corporate and numerous user sites. Thanks in advance!

Looking at the history of editors looking at the URL you name, all I see are submissions getting moved to more appropriate categories and duplicates being removed.

It's important to note that we list SITES, not domains, not pages. If a company has split it's website over two domains, we list ONE of them (in general). If there are two (very distinct) web sites under the same domain, they could both get listed.

There are always exceptions, of course, but this is the general rule that is used.

I have not reviewed your site, so the statements I make are generic advice.

Hope this helps.

Since you're an ISP offering webspace to your users, you will suffer no more ill effects than www.aol.com for members.aol.com/membername or www.att.com for home.att.net/~membername.

In other words, someone's little Chinchilla homepage is not preventing your corporate site from being listed.
