I applied to become an editor in the following category and was wondering what the status was. It has been over a month and I have not heard back.

Regional > Middle East > Israel > Regions > Dead Sea

I'll assume you meant http://dmoz.org/Regional/Middle_East/Israel/Regions/Dead_Sea/ instead, as the ODP has no association with Google, except that Google sometimes chooses to use ODP data in their directory.

Yeah t's rigt the dmoz directory, what is the status?

Hard to say, since rejected applications are not archived. If you never received anything, then your app probably never got through. Anyway, as icxcnika said, you're welcome to try again.
