My application

hi i wanted to know what my application status is, i applied for Business: Consumer Goods and Services: Eyewear there is no editor and i am more then quilified as i am an opticion, retail store owner and webmaster

There is no application for an Eyewear category pending. Make sure that you received the confirmation mails. If you received them, I assume your application was turned down.

(Just as a sidenote: If the application was the same style as the above posting it would have surely been denied. Proper writing in the chosen language is quite an important thing for an editor.)

It was not in the same style as the above post, I posted that in haste as I have customers to serve. I also did not recieve a confirmation e-mail for my application submission, nor was I informed that I would recieve one. That being said I would like to know if i need to wait to reapply or if I can resubmit imediatly.

Another thing I want to crarify is why alot of applications don't seem to make it to review there are lots of people in this forum alone that say they fill out the form and nothing happens.

If you didn't receive the confirmation email, then the application never made it to an editor.

Apply again and this time check any of your junk e-mail folders for the automated email. The ODP emails frequently get filtered by hotmail and yahoo spam filters for some reason. I got mine within a few minutes of applying. I also seem to recall a message when applying that I would be receiving an e-mail shortly which caused me to check my inbox, but I don't know for sure, since I'm not an editor as of yet (fingers crossed).

Also - isn't it optician and not opticion? Again, I'm not an editor, but I think spelling errors might cause problems with your application based on the simple fact that you're applying to be an editor, and if spelling errors were rampant in the directory it would cause problems.

If your original application is sitting in that limbo place where applications what for e-mail address confirmation you are not going to be able to reapply with the same e-mail address.

Also that category is way too huge for a new editor. You may have the experience in the subject matter but we wouldn't usually grant a category that big to a new editor who has no editing experience.
