My Editor Application Status???

I had applied for becoming an editor for a very small regional category - dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/India/Maharashtra/Localities/ Mumbai/Business_and_Economy/Restaurants_and_Bars/

When will i get a reply from these guys. Normally, i get the answer in 2-3 days.

Pls chk the status. My username for it is foodfanatic.

I'm not seeing any applications for that category so I would have to assume that it was denied.

I have not received any denial email from any dmoz editor. I had applied properly and also got an acknowledgement that i will receive a reply when my application is reviewed.

Pls check for it's status. Should i apply again.

There really is no application for that category waiting for review, which can only mean that it was denied. Does your e-mail service have some type of spam filter? E-mail services like Yahoo! and Hotmail have spam filters that sometimes block the denial reply letters. Did you check in your spam filter? Also, reviewers are not required to reply when they deny an application. Sometimes they do not reply for any number of reasons. There is really no way to check.

All I can say is to try again. Make sure that you follow the advice given in the FAQ and General Advice thread.

I have such a BAD LUCK. I was rejected again. I dunno why????

I am not an affiliate nor a programmer or someone who wants getting his site listed. The reason i got from the reviewer in his comments was: Improper titles and improper description. But the title i gave , were just the site official names and description were short info of what services they provided. There was no marketing language. I think the reviewer does not want new editors like me to eneter their category.

Pls give me reasons rgd. whts wrong. Y do i get rejected every time. It's really not fair. Senior editors like u should help this community grow.

I do not know why your application was rejected, but are you sure that you were completely honest about your affiliations? Your Geocities site shows that you are a full time developer for Impex Software. Is this not you? Did you mention this on your application?

Please don't take this the wrong way, Sumit, but in that last posting were four grammatical errors, two misspellings, and a whole bunch of slang and l33t junk. It's really necessary to write better than that in order to add constructively to the directory.

I don't know whether English is a first language for you (again, don't be insulted; it's the grammar that made me wonder), but you do know that we have directories in lots of other languages too, right? If you're fluent in a non-English language, you could try one of them, perhaps?
