My Posts on this forum are backlinks??

Hi gang,

I didn't realize that by posting on this forum my posts would turn up as backlinks to my website? I was looking at the webmaster tools on google and checking my backlinks and two of my posts on this forum appear?

I haven't posted my website on this forum, but it is in my profile. Is this strange? Good thing I've been polite!

Let this be a lesson for any cranky pants posting! Play nice!!

Yah! and I still haven't made it into the DMOZ directory either Our day will come...

Google spiders this forum, yes. That includes member profiles.

Actually, it specifically doesn't include member profiles, which are only visible to forum members. The backlinks come from the fact that the homepage that you put in your profile appears in the drop-down list you see when you click on your name ("Visit Joanner's homepage").
