Hello,

My site - www.mihaiu.name is currently listed under the category:

Top: Computers: Programming: Languages: C++: Personal Pages (50)

Recently I started to write Java related articles (after I took a certification from Sun). After studying the weblogs from my web site I realized that most visitors to my web site are interested in Java. Perhaps my web site should be also included in the following category:

Top: Computers: Programming: Languages: Java: Personal Pages (88)

Can this be accomplished ?

Hi Gimmster,

Thanks for your answer.

>You probably should submit an update request to the existing cat asking for the site to be considered for dual listing in the 2 sub cats, or if not, to be moved to http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Progr...rsonal_Pages/M/.

Your second suggestion is probably the best. Currently I am preparing for an IBM XML certification so I expect to write something related to XML in the near future. In this case all three keywords: "C++", "Java" and "XML" would be important. A more generic category seems to be more appropriate for the kind of information presented in my web site.

How should I proceed ? What do you think is the best approach for the above mentioned situation ?

Razvan

Listings are based upon content, not upon plans or intentions.

Once you have significant content beyond C++, then go to the category where you are presently listed and request an update to the next higher cat, or to a better cat. Make it clear that the site content has changed, and that this is not simply another vanity request. The ultimate decision falls on the editor.

It also helps if the new content is easily found.

Later, when you have added copious amounts of other content, you can repeat the process.
