Hello Dmoz,

I have recently taken over the marketing for a website http://www.flowersandsuch.co.uk. This company had merged with another company that was http://www.4-seasonsflowers.co.uk. Both URL's share the same website with Flowers and Such being the principal site.

I noticed that Four Seasons Flowers had a listing in the following category: http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/England/West_Sussex/Copthorne/. As this was not the principal site I requested a change of URL using what the client told me was the email used to create the listing.

When checking the category this week I noticed that not only had the URL not been changed but also the listing had been completely removed from the category! This is very odd because when doing a search for "four seasons" I notice that www.4-seasonsflowers.co.uk is still in the directory (number 11 I think).

Does this mean that the site is simply under review? If I did something wrong when requesting a change I would appreciate some feedback in order to rectify the problem.

Thanks in advance,

Nothing went wrong. I processed the change request on August 27th and (because I'm a nice guy) emailed the submission email address lee@"new ovum" with the reasons for the site's removal.

Because you've presumably never seen it, here's a copy.
Thanks for suggesting that we amend http://www.4-seasonsflowers.co.uk to http://www.flowersandsuch.co.uk and amend the title to Flowers and Such.

Here's the good news, bad news and the even worse news.

- There would be no problem amending the title to agree with that of the website.

- Both URLs point at the same website so we won't be making the URL change.

- The business model appears to have changed with all deliveries being processed by Flowergram and no sign of a local shop. This makes it an affiliate site and we don't list those. I've removed your original entry from the directory.
If the information I gleaned from the website is incorrect, I suggest you amend it to clarify matters and then resubmit it.

Neither URL is listed within ODP. Search engines may well be showing a less up to date version of it's directory.
