I recently submitted a site http://www.cafetran.republika.pl under Computers: Software: Globalization: Computer Aided Translation: Translation Memory: Software. I was happy to see it included but I can see that there exist different categories for each software. The site I submitted is standing out alone. How can I request for the category for my software ?
Morover, the Google listing does not show the site under the category I submitted. Do they reflect your category structure in their listings ? Thank you for any help.

Regards

I'm not sure what you are asking about the category.

Google has not updated since August - we have no control of what they do.

Having its own category

Thanks for information about Google. My first question was if I could put my site in its own category as other software does under Translation Memory category tree.

In order for use to make sense of what you are asking, we need full clickable category paths.

So give us a clickable link to where you are and where you want to be. Mind you, we will not make a change as a result of a request here, but we can check and see if the category where youy want to go is accepting submissions and we can outline the process that you will need to follow in order to have someone consider your change.

Much better, thank you.

We generally do not create new subcategories for a single website -- imagine the chaos that it would create. But that does not mean we will not create new subcats. If you were able to identifiy three or four other other sites (whether in ODP or not) that would logically fit in the same category, then an editor with editing rights in that category would probably seek the internal concensus necessary to add the subcat. (This is not something that individual editors usually do on an ad-hoc basis, almost all structural changes are done after building concensus, unless since a change is pre-defined).

Can you assist us in identify some sites?

Before you ask, I do note the contradiction that some of those sub-categories do have only one site, but that may have happened for a number of reasons. It does not mean that it's ok to make another category for only one site.

My page is quite new so I am not able to provide any more sites fitting in the Cafetran category to be created. I have to be pleased with the present situation, which is OK after all :) Anyway, thanks for explanation.
