My site http://www.noahspets.com is no longer listed in its category.

Hello,

I am posting considering my site http://www.noahspets.com listed in the http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Pets/Supplies/Varied_Merchandise/ directory category.

I recently changed over to a new hosting service and obtained a new Ip. During this transition process my site was down for a while, and I believe during this time my site was removed from the http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Pets/Supplies/Varied_Merchandise/ Directory . I understand that the re-submission can be lengthy process and if at all possible I would like to avoid the waiting time. In light of the fact that I have been in this category for the last several years will an editor kindly Re-instate my site back into the directory?

Nope, you need to resubmit, and there is no guarantee that your site will be relisted. It will be evaluated on the basis of the current guidelines, and not all sites that made it into the directory in the past make it into the directory in the present.

We don't review sites as a result of being mentioned in this forum. The chance of your site being reviewed by an editor that posts in this froum is very low, there are thousands of editors - most of them do not post here or read these messages.

The advice given above is correct - you should not resubmit the site - it is in fact still in there and will be rechecked at some point to see if it works, and whether it should be relisted.

What spectregunner and bobrat said is correct.

The chance of your post being seen by an editor that reads this forum is extremely low, but not impossible. I happen to routinely unreview sites that are down in that area to see if they come back. I took a look at yours but 3 out of 5 of your pet categories lack content. You have to complete the site before we can consider relisting it.

My site is completed with products and content in all of its categories. Of course, I will continue to add, edit, delete, and update products on my site in the future, but at this point it meets all of the odp guidelines.

Please stop asking editors to violate forum rules by taking direct action on your site.

You have been told what the process is, that information has been confirmed by at least two other editors.

If you continue to ask for an expedited review you risk unpleasant results.

No she can't. Or to word it better she is not allowed to take any actions based on questions aksed here at R-Z. Maybe she will review yiyr suggestion, maybe an other editor. Maybe it will be tomorrow, maybe next month, maybe next year, nobody knows.

When I looked at your site, there were no products on the pages for Bird Supplies, Aquarium Supplies, or Small Pet Supplies. Adding content and pretending it was there all along doesn't impress me. Also, the site is completely different. It needs to be re-reviewed.

To expand on what pvpool said, I will not review your site at all, ever. The private feedback you sent asking for special treatment makes me feel biased against your site. To comply with our guidelines I must leave it for an unbiased editor to review.

Thank you for your help. Let me make myself completely clear for any editors who may be reading this. I'm not ask for anything else here, and I now completely understand the rules. But, I truly don't want you to think I was trying to pretend all of the content on our site now was there earlier. Yes, much of the content on the site was added today, as we are currently adding to and updating our site with products, content, and a new overall design. I didn't mean for my words to sound as if I thought you wouldn't notice that there was now new content on the site. I was actually trying to point out the new content since I knew you had seen the site before the new content was added. I just wanted to clear that up so you would realize I wasn't trying to trick you or any other editor. My words just weren't chosen as well as they could have been. Thanks again for everyone's help today.
