My website, www.digidogstudios.com is currently in this directory: http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Multimedia/Software/Macromedia_Flash/Designers/D/

This used to be correct when my company only provided flash, however for 3 years now we have been providing not only flash but web design/development, graphic design as well.

In short i need my site to be change to the proper directory, In one of these to be exact:

http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Designers/Basic_Service/D/

or

http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Designers/Full_Service/D/

I am thinking per what odp says about the full service directory that i belong in the basic servide, becausei dont provide hosting my self, but i am an affiliate of a web hosting company and i do host some of my clients through my affiliate account.

If somebody could please provide some assistance and/or tell me where i can make this happen, that would be great.

Thanks!

At the top of every page at DMOZ there is a link called "update listing". Fill in the form and give a good reason why we should move the site to another category. An editor will look at the request and verify that the site matches the request.

If you think ANY site is in the wrong category, make an "Update URL" suggestion. In the "reason for change" mention that the site now has XXX and therefore might better fit in category YYY.

A site in an inappropriate category is a quality control issue for us: so, for many editors, "quality control feedback" has higher priority than other suggestions.

Some editor may well go out of his way to look at an "update URL" suggestion.

Caveats: We still can't tell exactly when that would happen, and obviously we can't guarantee that the editor will agree with the suggestion. And (as always) what you "need" is irrelevant, and you can't "make" anything happen. We're not concerned about YOUR site.

But we really like to know about problems with OUR taxonomy. If you can successfully address it in those terms, there's a good chance that some fix will happen "soon".

Well it works both ways sir. I understnad you are "only doing your job" or whatever but there is no need to get anal about it and make malicious comments like that, I was politely requesting information about it, not vulgar yells about how you dont care about my website.

It is unfair for you to assume that i dont care about the quality control of the ODP, I do care because my business consists of the internet being healthy, the ODP is a healthy asset to the internet.

Thanks for the information.

It is unfair for you to assume what I assume.

Concern for the quality of the ODP is appreciated, no matter what other concerns you have. But (and this is the important point) the other concerns don't add weight! And it would be abusive for us to let them add weight.

But the other point is, mere concern for the ODP quality is enough to get prioritized attention from an editor.

I do understand that the chances of my website getting switched to a more appropriate section based upon my interests is slim, however it would be more quality to the ODP if it were in the correct section.

Although again the chances are slim, i would like to still at least try, if i wanted to request this change, what would be the appropriate method of doing this?

Thanks.

I have done that, however as of now i am just waiting.

I am happy to at least be in the ODP and if my listing gets changed or not I am satisfied either way, whatever the ODP thinks is the right wayt o hanlde it is good, hopefully it will change ubt if not, thanks anyways!

Did you submit an update request to be moved to a different category? I seem to recall you posting about something like that.

I've merged the related threads together.

....what happened?
I haven't looked at your site but you do realize that we can't check and tell you what happened without violating our "No status checks" policy, right?

You have already been answered in you other thread.
As has been explained that is why we don't want people to start several threads about the same subject.
