As crowbar explained in post #2, our servers lost a lot of listing suggestions in late 2006. If you suggested it again as he advised, we'd be talking under 2 years, not 6.

Some volunteer will process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. There is no need to re-suggest your website and doing so could be counter-productive because a later suggestion overwrites any earlier one.

I submitted ours November, 2007, then against mid-2008, then again early 2009 - still not listed. Meanwhile we've gone from 5m on alexa to about 75,000. Professional site, not crappy design, etc. It's very frustrating.

I submitted it minutes ago. Probably a waste of time.

Did you happen to read the post just a little above yours? jimnoble explained

The FAQ at the top of every page of this forum also addresses your concerns, and the suggestion instructions (which you acknowledge having read) also explain the consequences of excessively repeated suggestions.

Time

I keep reading that submissions can take from a few months to a few years..

This person has been waiting 6 years.... how long is a few years exactly.. I was under the assumption it meant about 3....

So please.. let me know if a few years means up to 20 years... I'm sure I'm not the only person who would like to know....

thank you...

"Lazy" is a rather strange word to use in connection with people who spend time on a hobby project. {moz}

Not even slightly hurt, but thank you for your concern. Again, the term isn't applicable. It's like calling somebody who enjoys reading books in their free time lazy because they don't read quickly enough.
